Get a new suitcase

Does Your Suitcase Have a Lot of Miles on It? Checked luggage can take a real beating! Is your luggage damaged, out-of-date, OR lost and you need a replacement?

So, has the airlines maybe LOST your luggage or did they FIND it and now it looks like it's been around the world more times than the space shuttle? Are you in the market for a stylish and trendy piece of luggage? I've been shopping around for another fashionable suitcase that will distinguish mine from the next traveler. It's amazing the variety of bags you have to pick from these days.

As I was searching through all the variety of suitcases, I opted to buy one for my hubby who was toting around a very beat-up Travelpro Crew 5 22" carry-on. I replaced that bag with a black Crew 6 which is new and improved. Would you believe, he won't give up that old suitcase so that I can donate it to the Goodwill.

I've picked out some stylish luggage that I personally would like to own. At the moment, I really like the Heys styles too! Maybe you'll find something you like, as well. A number of years ago, I had a very nice Hartmann bag that was given to me as a gift. Hartmann is certainly a stylish and quality brand and I would love to own one. I must have sold the one I had at a yard sale because I can't seem to locate it. You'll find a variety of stylish Hartmann luggage as it's still one of my favorites. Does Your Suitcase Have a Lot of Miles on It? Well, get a new one!

A good debate Hey Monkeybrain

Hey Monkeybrain!  Are you up to a good debate? You'll need to check out Squidoo's lastest and greatest! It's Hey Monkeybrain and the debates are on. They're getting heated. You'll find debates from the presidential campaigns to what foods are hot to social networking and other platforms.

Here is a snapshot of Jaguar Julie's HMB debates:

SALTY or SWEET -- Which type of snack do you prefer? SALTY or SWEET? Which type of snack do you prefer? Actually, I prefer salty snacks ... I really do not have a sweeth tooth! I personally think it tells a lot about the person as to which they prefer. Is it something that's in the genes? Is it a male / female or Mars / Venus thingy? Is it geographical, ethnic, or age related?

Is it possibly astrologically-oriented? For example, I am a Cancer -- that's a water sign -- so does that explain WHY I prefer salty snacks? Can we say that a majority of Cancers and water signs will opt for salty over sweet snacks? Or is it something more profound ... like that time of the month vs. a football game and beer?

BLONDES are SEXIER and have MORE Fun! Blondes are sexier and have more fun! Speaking from personal experience and of course very deep humility, I offer up the premise that blondes are indeed sexier and definitely have more fun! Only my hairdresser knows for sure whether all those platinum hairs are naturally sprouting from my noggin or come from a bottle of Miss Clairol.

COOL WHIP vs. REDDI-WIP: Which side are you on? Ah, a sweet topic indeed. Cool Whip vs. Reddi-Wip! For years the battle has waged over these mighty contenders for the #1 spot amongst dessert toppings -- and other uses not to be mentioned in this PG-rated lens! One typically comes in a tub whilst the other in a handy spray can. Reddi-wip, introduced in 1948, is the brand of aerosol propelled, sweetened whipped cream produced by ConAgra Foods. Cool Whip was introduced in 1967 by the Birds Eye division of General Foods and is a product today of Altria Group. I personally prefer Cool Whip ... So, which side are YOU on?

Funk for your Trunk Luggage Tags

Funk for your Trunk aka Luggage Tags! Trendy and Colorful Luggage Tags, IDs, and Whatnots that will make your Luggage STAND OUT from the rest!

Get a funky luggage tag at Amazon!

Have you ever noticed, when you are standing there at the luggage carousel in some large international airport that all the luggage looks the same? Hey, why does everybody have a BLACK bag? Has there ever been the time when you've had to wrestle your bag away from some other weary traveler who thought your bag was his? Well, I can honestly report that this has happened to me only one time--and I have red luggage!

Lately, I've been searching for new luggage tags, IDs, belts and other such accessories and am totally amazed at the variety available! There are classic and funky, chic, neon, leather, and some whimsical and funny to name just a few! I even found a Hermes orange leather luggage tag on eBay selling for $444.00! Wow--that's more than I want to pay for a suitcase.

Well, I think a luggage tag--for us women--can be like a handbag! As luggage tags can be very affordable, why not have a variety so that you can customize your luggage to reflect how you feel, what you're wearing, or where you're traveling? For example, if you are going on an island-hopper vacation, how about the luggage tag shown here? I authored the original Squidoo lens on luggage tags and IDs, you know?

Stylehive: Who are your top 3 Stylehivers?
Gosh, it is really difficult to pick my top 3 Stylehivers as I have seen SO MANY stylish items and Stylehivers with so much style!

1. freakstar – she’s definitely #1 because I really love all the items I’ve seen on the guild.com, The Artful Home. Her style and taste seem to mirror mine in many respects.
2. designmilk - another top favorite, for their design classic picks.
3. HippiePrincess – her taste and style closely mirror mine and she shows an eclectic taste for design. I think the fact that both of us come from a family of creative talent possibly accounts for our appreciation of style and design.

SH: If money was no issue and you could buy one product from the Hive, what would it be?

Wow, buy just one product? I think it’s difficult to narrow down to one. OK, let me say The Mantra Bed. I love feng shui and canopies so if I couldn’t have a Dedon Collection piece, I’d go for The Mantra Bed; and if that as on backorder, I’d maybe consider the Squaring.

SH: What would be the title of your autobiography?

Jaguar Julie, a woman of eclectic tastes!

SH: How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is eclectic and depends on the occasion. To ask my hubby, he would tell you I really need to live in New York City because I love to dress up. He’s always telling me, you need to dress down; put on some jeans! I think I should have lived in Hollywood back in the 50s. A previous European coworker told me he thought I was very Parisian in style, manner and dress.

SH: What reality show would you be on?

I’ve already appeared on Florida’s Flamingo Fortune lottery game show several years ago and won a small amount of money. My hubby and many of my friends say I really need to be on a show with a contest as they saw how excited I’ve gotten over Stylehive’s contests! I’d like to be a judge on American Idol or maybe Dancing with the Stars.

SH: What is always in your bag?

This is an easy question! I always have my lipstick no matter where I go! It’s Revlon Amethyst Smoke--it’s been a favorite brand and color for a number of years.

Coffee, coffee, coffee and a South Beach Diet High Protein Cereal Bar--Peanut Butter. But, since I’m going into a new phase of my life, working with a startup company, I’ll be revamping how I start my morning. Most likely it will mean a trip to the gym, then coffee!

SH: What do you do when you’re not Hiving?
I’m the CMO of a new company, wearing many hats, developing marketing materials and product information among other things. I also have my own company, Jaguar Julie Designs--I sell online, have my own websites, Google Blog, and Squidoo lenses. So, I’m always connected to the computer somehow during the day. My hubby says I can put in over 40 hours during the week on the computer.

Follow me at Stylehive

Follow me at Stylehive. Where have I been lately you're asking? Why I'm over at Stylehive!

Update: I remember when I first joined Stylehive. Man that was a lot of years ago. I was pretty active there until I discovered Squidoo ... which then seemed to occupy a good portion of my time.

Thinking back on Stylehive ... they were the Pinterest of their time. We Stylehivers were pinning pictures of stylish stuff way before Pinterest came on the scene. It was great to be in on the action with all the stylish members.

So much has happened in the past decade. Wonder what stylish site will be the next thing?
