I've been familiar with the brand of Lamarthe for several years since I purchased my first little black Lamarthe bag that was actually "made in Rumania" and found on eBay!

My little black Lamarthe bag!

It was actually "made in Rumania" I found this petite black leather handbag on eBay and just had to have it; primarily because of it's uniqueness and the fact that it is "made in Rumania."

The purse bears the embossing of Lamarthe, which is a designer name of handbags that usually are made in Paris. This baguette quite possibly was from a sample run. It's black with white piping with two tags inside; one is "claim #47," and the other reads "Made in Rumania." The size is compact, 9" x 5-1/2" and appears to be new. The zipper pull is also marked Lamarthe.

And, so will you after you follow along with me and allow me to share with you something that I find most interesting.  You know they say that necessity is the mother of invention.  And, I'm just betting it was some mother who created this interesting item.

There is a resourceful young lady by the name of Jane Webb who is credited with this nifty invention. We are talking about the Braza Bra Travel Bag (8080) S/Pink Dot!

When Jane Webb was doing extensive travel, she would arrive only to discover that her best assets had become deficits! Jane's sheer frustration, inconvenience and cost of having to run out to replace them, inspired the bra(g). The first protective travel bag for your molded/contour cup bras.

Oh wow! I have to say that when I first looked at this item, I was thinking, "Now who is going to carry a bra bag?" You know? I was thinking it could be a novelty handbag or clutch ... wouldn't Madonna or Lady GaGa like them? I think they would.

Well, I am equally blown away by the fact that this little bag can fit up to 6 bras!!! And size doesn't seem to matter in that it can fit A-D cups! Oh my! I think with the measurements of 13" x 7" x 3" that this COULD be a novelty handbag too? You'd get extra mileage from it.

Best Bags from a Self-Described Bag-a-holic

I'm a self-described "bag-a-holic" as I own a few hundred bags, have bought and sold bags online for a number of years, and search for bags everyday. But, by no means would I assume the title of "bag lady" as I believe plenty of others have claimed that dubious distinction.

Somedays I feel downright bag-gy as I travel the many paths that the internet brings to my door. I have seen so many styles, shapes, colors, and brands [genuine and not so genuine] of bags that it boggles my mind for sure! How can there be that many kinds of handbags? That's what my hubby would like to know too!

A bag is a purse or sack or handbag. To us ladies, it is an essential component of our wardrobe! We've got to have the right bag to go with our new outfit ... plus a pair of shoes! This lens presents my interpretation of the "Best Bags" --no matter what the price-- as I see them. Trust me as this is a tough task to present my "Top Ten" as it's like comparing apples with oranges or trying to pick your favorite child!
