Copyright Violations on Amazon Walmart Google Shopping

I am the type of person that subscribes to the positive effort of "do it right the first time." That would explain why I was so bummed yesterday to find that one of my original artsy designs from Zazzle was once again listed by several probably Chinese sellers on Amazon! Searching further on Amazon, I found 8 product listings by several sellers. Doing a Google image search took me to two sellers on Walmart, with my product, using Google Shopping to promote the sale.

It is curious, that doing a Google Image Search to find my original product, that it clearly states "Images may be subject to copyright." You can "learn more" by clicking on those linked words to a Google reference, "What is Copyright?"

It should be paramount to all sellers on Amazon and other sites like Walmart and eBay that they agree and understand copyrights. It's been several years now, and hundreds of copyright infringement complaints filed ... and I still will find my original artsy products listed by online sellers.

I can report that Amazon USA and Canada were very expeditious with the processing of my copyright violation complaints against the several sellers. I received confirmation within a timely period from Amazon telling me they didn't support copyright infringements and removed the products.

Some of the Amazon Canada Sellers with Copyright Infringements include Harots-ltd, Wecye, Ploekdu, CXMS, GHEDPO, FbaPan and BurnellGarden.

When it came to reporting these copyright violations to Walmart, I was on a chat with an associate who immediately asked for my permission to escalate the complaint. It's 24 hours later and I am still waiting to hear back from Walmart as to how they will address and handle copyright violations reported.

I also reported the copyright violations to Google Shopping and am awaiting removal.

Another day, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 ... this morning I was searching again on Amazon for my Artsy Gerbera Daisy Watercolor art when I saw a PRIME listing and then another seller, Queen's designer who had a different product of mine, Boldly Sunny Sunflowers. Holy Smokes, but this is never ending! I never envisioned in my retirement as a senior starving artist, that I'd spend my waning hours reporting copyright infringements!!!

Here is the original of today's infringed upon product of mine. I have this original design with a variety of backgrounds including black, white and teal, on a host of products available from my Zazzle store, Jaguar Julie Flowers. Please support the original designer, me! Don't buy fakes from Amazon, Walmart, or elsewhere online. You'll not be happy with the inferior quality of those stolen art products.

And, yes, once again, I was busy completing copyright violation forms on Amazon ... both the USA and Canada!! It is so distressing that I try and limit my reporting to a different product each morning so that it doesn't completely ruin my psyche or my day!!

Doing a Google Image Search brought up MANY more listings of my copyrighted art product. Copyright Infringement is rampant on the internet ... can we build a border wall on the internet to protect us original artists from content theft and copyright infringements??

Doing my daily check of Amazon, I find two more sellers illegally selling products with copyright violations! This morning, the two sellers reported are Bo Fair and LMHB.

Help With the Content Stealers

Google! Can you help with the content stealers??? It seems the latest trick when stealing other people's content is to use it to lure unsuspecting visitors away from the original author's site and then redirect them to some other web page that is totally unrelated to said search!

Just this week, a fellow lensmaster/author was chatting about how the plagiarists were using her content to redirect traffic to their own websites. I didn't quite understand what she was talking about until I discovered it was happening to many of my 810 Squidoo pages. UPDATE: As of March 11, 2013, I had deleted 590 of my 810 Squidoo pages! Too many content thieves and content imitators on Squidoo.

Doing a Google search on a content phrase which I include on all 810 of my JaguarJulie Squidoo lenses; i.e. "do not copy do not plagiarize the contents of this page." Google brought up 1050 search results. I only have 810 lenses, so I wondered what the 240 other unrelated results might be.

Take a look at this screen capture that I pieced together from pages 41 and 42 of the results:

The first episode of my search showed the content stealers on page 11 of the results. Both times, moneybook2u came up immediately. The other offending websites include amsterdamhotel.it, lacinaevicina.it, evonnekala.newsvine.com, directrss.co.li, and legalnews.findlaw.com. This is a partial list of the content scrapers who are using other people's original work to steal traffic for their own greedy purposes!

UPDATE: It is September 13, 2014 and I just did another Google search of  "do not copy do not plagiarize the contents of this page" to find, still there are search results showing content stealers!

The offending websites include evonnekala.newsvine.com, bigt5.china.com, and primbondonit.blogspot.com. How about that? The last one is a Google blogger site.

Ah fresh air - Perfect weather for chili

I moved South from Ohio quite a few years ago and sure do enjoy not having to shovel snow. Because the weather is warm in Northeastern Florida until the end of October, it makes us hunger for my award-winning chili recipe. This is one recipe that my grandma really didn't teach me. Racking my childhood memories, I really don't remember grandma making spicy chili ... Stuffed cabbage rolls, yes; chili, no.

Traffic to my award-winning chili recipe started increasing in mid-September and has steadily been rising through the end of October. Recently, one day's traffic nearly hit 400 unique visitors and has been averaging well over 325 visitors daily. Surprisingly, the up-tick in visitors hasn't translated to rising lensrank as the lens has been declining for some mysterious reason. The highest lensrank achieved was #28 overall with a reported 26 days in the overall top 100. What's the reason for the high traffic? It is thanks to Google! This lens has been ranking as the #1 position in the Google search with a number of keyword phrases.

So, what makes my award-winning chili recipe so special? I give away the secret ingredient on my page. I also spell out in black and white how to make this tasty chili recipe. It is a meatier consistency. We like to use a special kind of chili beans too and usually opt for the spicy ones. I also give you an idea of the cost to make this chili. My last recipe was geared up to feed the office staff of a dozen. The good thing about chili is that it won't go to waste. Simply freeze a portion of your chili batch for a quick fixer upper meal.

Something unexpected with a Google image search

Julie -- When I was searching Google to find images for my latest lens with the terms "Sexy Grandma Necklace" the photo of you and your grandmother popped up. I sure didn't expect that!

Now, I thought that lensmaster must be pulling my leg. So, I did a Google image search to see if I could find this picture of me and my grandma! OK, this is getting pretty interesting! On the second page of the image search, there was this very picture. It references a blog archive post of mine from January 27, 2008, Butter Horns: A delightful treat as prepared by my grandmother! That referenced blog post is talking about a Hungarian pastry that my grandmother was famous for making. Those butter horns have nothing really to do with 'sexy!'

This morning I received a comment in my Stuffed Cabbage article from a fellow lensmaster:

But, in her time, my grandma was probably considered sexy. Blush, sometimes what you can find in an image search can obviously be NOT what you expected. I know for me it wasn't expected! And, quite frankly I'm a little surprised -- but I appreciate any compliments being thrown my way if I fit the sexy part. Thank you!

My photography in Google image searches

I have been convinced to take PHOTOGRAPHY lessons because of Google! Thank you Google! I get the MESSAGE. I simply must take photography lessons and then take more of my own pictures to display on my Squidoo lenses. I did yet another Google image search; this time for 'spicy potato salad' and found 3 of my images on the first page of the image results -- #1 and #3 positioning. In the web search, my Spicy Potato Salad page was #4 -- yeah! Trying harder to be #1.

To know me is to know that I really, really prefer to use my own graphic images and photography WHENEVER possible to display on my lenses. If nothing at all, it would be a goal to revamp all of my lenses with ONLY my graphics and photography -- that is a mighty tall order. I strive to be unique in my creations, having covered a wide range AND eclectic array of topics.

Some of my better pictures have been for my food lenses ... particularly whenever I can use that very cool, clear acrylic serving dish. I've used it for my Eight Layer Salad -- A Delicious Recipe page and also for my Spicy Potato Salad -- A Delicious Recipe page.

So, thank you Google for being so cool -- and for making my day!

Google is fast at indexing

Google search is FASTER than a speeding bullet! Google is fast at indexing!

Blimey! I noticed the MOST interesting thing today when I did a Google search for jaguarjulie. On the first page of the search results, I found nearly all the results were what I expected them to be -- it found this blog, my websites and Squidoo lenses, and my twitter page. However, at the end of the results, I saw my Topicability blog listed.

What was odd that within the listing, rather than show an entry from THAT blog, it was showing some twitter updates from THIS very morning, but linking to my other blog. I don't know what to make of this as it's quite peculiar. Don't YOU think?

Google search is faster than a speeding bullet -- in that you can see information searched and seemingly indexed in real time. WOW! Google is absolutely amazing!


P.S. It is over 10 years later that I am reviewing this blog post and thinking, yes! Google is fast at indexing. However, today I am thinking Google is NOT careful on indexing ... to be indexing content scrapers who have stolen authentic and original images and content and making it difficult for the visitor to find the ORIGINAL ... why that is most concerning!! For me, it is particularly concerning because I have added my original photography, designs, images and content to Google blogger. It would seem such a blog content would be treated better by the "owner?"
